Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce Announces New President & CEO

Curtis BlairCurtis Blair to provide new vision and ongoing leadership for Chamber and Valley-wide Business Initiatives and Economic Development
 
The Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors (Chamber) announced the appointment of Curtis Blair as the Chamber’s new president and CEO. An experienced business leader and entrepreneur, Blair takes the Chamber lead following the departure of former president and CEO, Rona Rahlf, and interim president and CEO, Stan Lockhart.
 
“We are thrilled Curtis will take the helm of the Chamber,” said Christopher Yadon, chair of the Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and Executive Director of The Younique Foundation. “Curtis emerged from a rich pool of highly qualified candidates, and we feel fortunate to have him. The Chamber Board has full confidence that he will take us to amazing new heights while standing on the shoulders of past leadership.”
 
Blair has more than 25 years of executive experience in marketing, consulting, negotiation, and experience with extensive domestic and international customer relations, emphasizing business systems, corporate leadership, channel development, relationship management, and business development.
 
“I am excited to bring my experience and vision to the Chamber,” said Blair. “Whether it is community relations, economic development, or affordable housing, it is the Chamber’s responsibility to provide strategic planning, create a shared vision of development, increase relationships through networking, and increase shared interactions. Businesses that thrive in today’s environment genuinely engage, network, and partner with other businesses. In today’s world, my vision is to lead the Chamber in support of its members in recovering and excelling through the economic impact caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and reenter an era of great growth and prosperity.” 
 
Blair will utilize his extensive experience to lead the Chamber and its members in exploring new opportunities to unite Valley-wide businesses of all industries in establishing economic growth, and policy initiatives all designed to help Utah Valley continue to shape its future. He will also lead and participate in the Valley Visioning effort. The Chamber was one of the founding organizations of Valley Visioning, which is comprised of all Utah Valley chambers, legislators, local government officials, and other businesses working together to help plan Valley-wide growth management, economic prosperity, and increased quality of life.
 
“I look forward with great anticipation to collaborating with Curtis and supporting his leadership as our new Chamber President and CEO,” said Janae Moss, chair-elect of the Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and co-owner, RBM Building Services.
 
Among his many accomplishments, Blair was most recently principal and co-founder of Hoodoo Capital and Consulting, VP - Partner and Channel Alliances of DirectPointe, and a successful entrepreneur and leader in several other organizations. An accomplished author of articles and presentations, Blair is a graduate of Brigham Young University with a BA College of Humanities with a Spanish major and a minor in Business Management.
