The Ebony & Ivory Gala is one of Salt Lake City’s most premier fund raising events. Join us for a glamorous evening of auctions, entertainment, dinner and fun while supporting University of Utah Hospitals & Clinics! Each year University Hospital Foundation hosts the Ebony & Ivory Gala to raise much needed funds for University of Utah Health Care.
This year, all proceeds from the Ebony & Ivory Gala will benefit the Patient and Family Housing Project at the University of Utah Hospital. University of Utah Hospitals & Clinics services what is perhaps the most geographically diverse region of the United States. Patients come to us from all over Utah and as far away as Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, and Nevada. Some of our patients require extended care that may last for weeks or even months, requiring them to liv in close proximity to the hospital.
University of Utah Hospital is constructing a new patient and family housing project the will meet the needs of our patients and their families. No one plans on medical emergencies and you can imagine the difficulty of receiving prolonged care while at the same time worrying about the basic necessities of life, like finding a place to stay when you lack the ability to pay for a hotel. University of Utah Hospital understands that taking care of a patient often means taking care of family members who need to be part of a loved one’s personal medical care.
