Description
As the holidays approach, we all have concerns about eating too much and adding those "festive" pounds. As someone who is passionate about health and wellness, Danene Dustin will share the "story" of her journey within this realm. Her presentation will focus on practical points that have proven beneficial to her in becoming healthy, fit and energized. She is a firm believer that adopting and adhering to a healthy lifestyle are not only crucial for mental and physical well being but can also be fun and definitely worth the effort. You will come away from this presentation motivated to eat healthier, exercise more and come out of the holiday season without those unwanted pounds and on a path to becoming your best self.
Danene May Dustin is a Utah native who graduated from Logan High School in 1983. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University in 1990 and her Master of Arts degree in 2007 from Utah State University where she earned the Moyle Q. Rice Fellowship.
In February of 2013, Danene completed 12 years of employment at Utah State University. Beginning with the Registrar’s Office, she then moved to Conference Services where she worked as a conference coordinator/event planner. Danene then spent five years in the Honors Program and currently works as the Employer Relations Specialist in Career Services. She is also an instructor for Connections each fall.
Danene is an active member of the Cache Chamber of Commerce where she serves as an Ambassador. She is also the Director of Workforce Readiness for the Bridgerland SHRM (Society of Human Resource Management) chapter, is an involved Salt Lake City SHRM member and additionally serves as the Utah Crossroads Conference Director.
Danene is married to Kevin Dustin and together they share five children. She enjoys traveling, cooking, and all things related to health and fitness, exemplified by her eight marathons, including the Boston Marathon in 2000 and 2010.
