SUMMARY:Board of Governors-4th Quarter
DESCRIPTION:Utah Valley Chamber Board of Governors\n\nQuarterly Breakfast\n\n \n\nA representative for Our Schools Now will be presenting to the Board of Governors. They are visiting with each of the local chambers in hopes of renewing support\, much like Prosperity 2020 had back in the day. P2020 and Our Schools Now are both initiatives with the support of the Salt Lake Chamber.\n\n \n\nIn brief\, Our Schools Now contends that the most important investment Utahns can make is to provide our children with a high-quality education. Today's economy requires more highly educated\, highly trained\, and highly skilled workers than ever. Utah must commit to making a significant and ongoing investment in education\, or face the loss of a truly prosperous future.\n\n \n\nOur Schools Now is an initiative to give Utah voters the opportunity to participate in the critical questions of how we are to invest in the continued improvement of our schools. The initiative would allow Utahns to vote on a ballot measure in November 2018 to increase Utah's investment in education to improve student achievement. \n\n \n\nThe Utah Valley Chamber Board of Directors is seeking input from key Chamber stakeholders on the Our Schools Now initiative. Your attendance and feedback is very important. \n\n \n\nRepresentatives from the Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine will be providing an update on the progress of bringing the medical school to Provo.
